After three weeks in the new continent, Vintage has been grinding out levels, working on epics, and keying for access to old hunting grounds such as Old Sebilis and Howling Stones. Last week, one of our monks, Dooks, completed the first Vintage epic and is the proud owner of the fabled Celestial Fists. Over the recent weekend, we raided General V’ghera in Kithicor to complete our first Ragebringer rogue epic for Rhuark! Many other epic quests are also close to completion as we prepare to raid the remaining zones and bosses required to gear the guild in the best gear and weapons that Kunark has to offer. We also attempted Venril Sathir again to see where we stand against this procing maniac and we’re proud to say we were able to keep our tanks alive this time for 3 minutes… surely enough time to kill him if we had more DPS and levels.

Overall, we’re loving the expansion and the fact that we can finally level again, loving the old camp spots, getting new loot, doing our epics and everything that comes along with Kunark. There are lots of groups on daily, and Old Sebilis saw 28 people inside yesterday, all XPing… something the Al’Kabor server probably hasn’t seen in years!

The guild leveled up this weekend as we opened a new chapter in our story. After the quick and satisfying kill of our two favorite dragons to date, Naggy and Vox, we geared up some of our newer members and journeyed to Butcherblock Mountains for a boat ride to Firiona Vie together. Drunken and in celebratory form, we cheered and jeered, pushed the shuttles ourselves as we swam and danced towards Timorous Deep. Unfortunately for us in our two attempts, the shuttle boats merely returned us back to the BB Docks and denied us access to the new continent! Accepting defeat in our first Kunark venture, we ported to the Dreadlands to continue with our day of adventure… and our boat ride journey will probably not be forgotten by most for quite some time!

3…2…1… Cheer! Here we come Kunark!

Our first mark in the new world was to attempt our old nemesis, Venril Sathir, Stories of his horror have passed through taverns and crossroads in the old world as we’ve all prepared as best as we could for the dangerous encounter that awaited us. We drew our swords and staves and entered his castle exclaiming, “HERE WE ARE, THE DAY IS OURS”. Mr. Sathir however, did not take kindly to us, and like the shuttle boats in Timorous Deep, laid waste to our puny force and told us we were not welcomed here either.

Accepting defeat again! We ventured to Trakanon’s Teeth as a guild and farmed medallions for keys to Old Sebilis. Over half the guild is now ready to grind and raid in our number one favorite Kunark dungeon, according to the polls on our website.

All in all, a productive, yet humbling day as we’ve conquered one era and have been squished like flies in the next. We look forward to the challenges that await! Great job to everyone who has been a part of this guild for the past few months, thank you to all the support of the server and our friends, and looking forward to all of the new friends we’ll make in this expansion and the next! We’re officially in Kunark now fellas!
